Correct diagnosis is important
There are some methods for helping to identify if you have hayfever. Try to keep a written diary of when your attacks occur. Establish whether any of the plants or trees in your area (include your neighbours' gardens) are known to be high pollen producers. Also keep a note of whether your symptoms change if you go away and whether where you go has any changing effect on your symptoms. If you live in the country and go to the seaside then you should expect a reduction in your symptoms after a few days.
Once you have established this history, it is time to visit your doctor or seek a referral to an allergy specialist if your condition is severe. Special tests called confirmatory allergy tests can then be conducted to identify what you might be allergic to. These test results will then be interpreted by the specialist, along with the history you kept and appropriate treatment methods can then be developed
Always read the label. Use only as directed. If symptoms persist, see your healthcare professional.
